Hezbollah Targets Mossad Headquarters in Tel Aviv

The missile triggered sirens across central Israel before the country’s aerial defense systems intercepted it.

On Wednesday, Hezbollah launched for the first time a medium-range surface-to-surface ballistic missile from Lebanon to attack the headquarters of Israel’s intelligence agency Mossad.

“In support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in support of their valiant and honorable resistance, and in defense of Lebanon and its people, the Islamic Resistance launched a Qader 1 ballistic missile targeting the Mossad headquarters in the suburbs of Tel Aviv, which is the headquarters responsible for assassinating leaders and blowing up pagers and wireless devices,” said Hezbollah.

The missile triggered sirens across central Israel before the country’s aerial defense systems intercepted it. The attack was aimed at the Glilot Base, where Unit 8200, an elite cyber intelligence unit. No casualties have been reported.

Confrontations between Hezbollah and the Israeli army have escalated in recent days, as the group began shelling military sites in northern Israel with dozens of missiles, including “Fadi 1”, “Fadi 2” and “Fadi 3” missiles, which it used for the first time since Oct. 8, 2023.

Meanwhile, at least thirteen people were killed in a new wave of Israeli bombings against different points in southern and eastern Lebanon, where the main strongholds of the Shiite group Hezulah are located, but also in areas considered safe north of Beirut.

The Lebanese Health Ministry also confirmed that nine people were injured in an Israeli bombing in the town of Al Maaysra, located a few kilometers from the tourist city of Byblos, north of Beirut, an area that had not been targeted by attacks until now.

In addition, the intense Israeli bombings caused the death of three people and wounded thirteen in Ain Qana (south); four deaths and seven wounded in Jun, south of Beirut; while three more people died in an intense Israeli air strike against the town of Bint Jbeil, in southern Lebanon.

The Lebanese National News Agency (ANN) reported that Israel has expanded the radius of its bombings in the last few hours, with more than twenty airstrikes reported in various areas of the country.

The massive Israeli bombings were concentrated mainly in the southern towns of Arnoun, in several points near the dividing line, Armati, Birkat al Jabour Sajad, Mleeta, Abbasiya, and other towns adjacent to Nabatiyeh.

In eastern Lebanon, the Israeli strikes targeted the vicinity of the city of Hermel; the towns of Labweh, Ansar and Nabi Othman in the northern Bekaa Valley; the outskirts of the city of Nahla, north of Beirut, where a house was completely destroyed; and Younine, among others.

Since Monday, Israel has been intensively bombing southern and eastern Lebanon, causing the internal displacement of tens of thousands of people. So far, the Zionist army has killed at least 558 people and injured thousands of Lebanese.
